Funk Events noticed a gap in the Manchester student market’s summer holiday trips. We decided that there was no place better to take party-minded students than Ibiza.

We could not have foreseen the sheer volume of interest we had from students from other cities. The trip was extended from the original capacity of 200 to 300 people. As this was the first year anything like this had been attempted in Manchester it was imperative we kept the trip a more intimate experience. This would secure that these partygoers would return in following years.
Now a year on the full potential of the Ibiza escape is understood. This is why for the 2012 trip we will offer itineraries which will cater to students and non-students alike. The “Awaken Ibiza 2012″ trip will run over two weeks and will see 1000 visitors to the ‘White Island’.
