ELECTROFIED

In the winter of 2009 Funk Events realised there was a noticeable increase in the popularity of Electro and House Music. This therefore showed us the potential for a mainstream student night in Manchester.

In December 2009 we launched “Electrofied”. This became a monthly niche night hosted at Area 51, Deansgate Locks, Manchester.                                                                                                          The night attracted 400 people through mainstream promotion methods on its launch.  From this numbers grew to 600 then 800 and then the night had to move to a bigger venue. The night then ran at the Ritz nightclub attracting over 1000 people.
